The Young Kerala Internship Program is a project jointly implemented by the Kerala Youth Leadership Academy and the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare. The main objective of the project is to impart knowledge about government systems, understand public service, policy-making, public administration, etc., nurture leadership skills, sense of dedication, empathy, cooperative spirit, communication skills, etc., attract dedicated people to public service in future, and work on theoretical and practical levels of problem-solving.

Kerala Youth Leadership Academy Institute of Management in Government (IMG) will lead the activities. 

Participating interns will have access to the Institute of Management in Government's Certificate Course in Public Policy, Governance, Administration, Leadership and Management.  Applicants should be domiciled in Kerala, have knowledge of English and Malayalam languages, degree or other equivalent qualification from any recognized university (final year students can also apply) and be between 21 and 32 years of age as on 1st August 2022 (those born on or after 1st August 1990 can apply).
