The Government of Kerala is marking its fourth anniversary by celebrating the state’s remarkable strides in development and public welfare. Titled ‘Nava Keralam Puthuvazhikal’ (New Paths to a New Kerala), the anniversary events will be held across the state from April 21 to May 30, 2025.
The celebrations aim to present Kerala’s achievements in governance, welfare, and infrastructure development to the public and the wider world. They highlight the state’s commitment to inclusive growth and innovation in public service delivery.
As part of the anniversary observance, a grand ‘Ente Keralam’ Exhibition and Marketing Fair will be conducted in every district. This travelling exhibition will display Kerala’s best practices, national recognitions, and departmental contributions to development and public welfare. In addition to informative exhibits, the fair will also feature commercial stalls, cultural programs, and entertainment activities to engage a wide audience.
The fair will begin in Kasaragod and conclude in Thiruvananthapuram at the end of May. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the celebrations and the Ente Keralam fair at Kalikkadavu Maidanam, Pilicode Panchayat Office, Kasaragod, on April 21.
Jointly organised by the Information & Public Relations Department (I&PRD) and district administrations, the fair will run for a minimum of seven days in each district. Alongside the exhibition, district-level and sector-specific meetings will be held, with the participation of the Chief Minister. These gatherings will include 500 invited participants, such as government scheme beneficiaries, students, youth, labour and trade union representatives, professionals, entrepreneurs, diaspora leaders, and cultural and sports figures.
The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) is leading the infrastructure development for the fair. Departmental stalls will showcase the government’s ongoing development initiatives and welfare achievements. A 2,500 sq. ft. theme pavilion curated by I&PRD will form the centrepiece of the exhibition. Key areas such as Startup Mission, Tourism, KIIFB, and Sports will be given dedicated space within the pavilion.
The fair will also include food courts, art and cultural performances, live demonstrations by artists, a book fair, and agricultural exhibits. Installations by Kudumbashree and other agencies under the Haritha Kerala Mission will further highlight the state’s focus on sustainability.
Outside the main exhibition area, additional attractions such as the KSFDC’s mini theatre, the police dog show, caravan tourism exhibits, and a display by the Directorate of Animal Husbandry will entertain and educate visitors. The Department of Culture is preparing live artistic performances to add vibrancy to the event.
With a people-centric approach, the Ente Keralam fair is designed to make government services, information, and development updates accessible and engaging for the public. It reflects Kerala’s journey towards a progressive, inclusive, and sustainable future.
