Shri. K. Rajan, Minister for Revenue and Housing represents Ollur Constituency of Thrissur district in the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly. Earlier he served as the Government Chief whip of the 14th Legislative Assembly. He also held various positions like State Executive member of Communist Party of India and Secretary of AIYF, Vice Chairman of Calicut University Union and Member of State Youth Welfare Board. Completed his primary education from Anthikkad KGM LP School and High School and graduated from Thrissur Kerala Varma College. Ever since he was actively involved with the student political activities of AISF. He is also a graduate in Law from Law Academy, Thiruvananthapuram. Even though he joined Thrissur court as a lawyer, later became a full-time politician.
He was actively involved with agitations organized by CPI on socially significant issues like the commercialization of education, electricity charge hike, increase in the pension age, SaveAthirappilly campaign, Solar case, Bar bribery case, etc. As a social activist, he has a strong association with the activities and programs of Shastra Sahitya Parishad, Balavedhi, Chadayammuri Smarakam, K. G. Kelan Memorial Granthasala, etc.
His parents are Anthikkad Pulikkal Krishnankutty Menon and Ramani and he was born on 26th May 1973 at Anthikkad in Thrissur district
