Fishers can apply for the Fishermen's Group - Personal Accident Insurance Scheme implemented by Matsyafed. The scheme offers up to Rs. 10 lakh in coverage for accidental death or permanent disability, regardless of whether the accident occurs during fishing activities. Applications are accepted until March 31st through Fishermen's Development Welfare Cooperative Societies, premium Rs 509.
