All individuals who have been granted Social Security/Welfare Board Pension until December 31st, 2022, are required to undergo Biometric Mustering through Akshaya Kendras between April 1st and June 30th, 2023.
In case any beneficiaries are unable to travel to the Akshaya Centers, such as those who are physically or mentally challenged, bedridden patients, or elderly individuals, they should notify the Akshaya Centers. A representative from Akshaya Kendra will visit the beneficiary's residence and conduct mustering accordingly.
Individuals who are 85 years of age or older and have been granted social security pension without an Aadhaar card, individuals with more than 80 percent physical disability, individuals who are chronically ill, welfare board beneficiaries who have been sanctioned pension without an Aadhaar card, and individuals who fail biometric mustering are required to submit their life certificate to the relevant local governments/welfare boards and complete the mustering process. From 2024, every year from January 1st to February 28th/29th, pension beneficiaries until December 31st of the immediately preceding year will be required to undergo biometric mustering through Akshaya Kendras. Only those who have completed the mustering process within the specified time limit will continue to receive their pension.
Those who fail to complete the mustering within the designated time limit may conduct mustering from the 1st to the 20th of each month. However, they will not be eligible for pension payments during the period of non-mustering. Pension disbursements will only be made to those who have completed mustering within the prescribed time frame. If a beneficiary fails to muster on time, any pension due during the period of non-mustering will only be paid when funds are allocated for arrears. The fee for mustering at Akshaya Kendras is ₹30, while the fee for mustering at the beneficiary's home is ₹50.
