Awards for institutions that have excelled in governance through e-governance for the years 2019-20 and 2020-21 have been announced.  The award will be given to 10 e-governance categories. The IT interventions made to reduce the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic won the special jury award. Thiruvananthapuram Municipality and Kerala High Court shared the first place for e-citizen service delivery category. Thiruvananthapuram Municipality's water supply tanker control system implemented with the help of IT bagged the first place. The online certified copy system of the Kerala High Court has also secured the first place in this category.

Kannur University and the state fisheries department shared the position in the e-citizens service delivery department. The state food and public distribution department and the dairy development department bagged the third place. Kudumbashree and state police shared the first place in the mobile governance category. Kudumbashree's 'Grand Care' project and the state police's 'Pol' app won the first prize. The second place in cyber governance was bagged by the Kozhikode district administration and the third place was bagged by the state Su-Museum department. The first place in the e-learning category was shared by Christ College, Irinjalakuda and EMMRC of Calicut University. St. College Irinjalakuda and State Malayalam Mission secured the second position. Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University and Thrissur C Achutha Menon Government College shared the third position in this part.
The website of The Kerala Startup Mission was selected as the best website.The websites of the Kerala Public Service Commission and the state police shared the second position. Kudumbashree's website bagged the third place.Three institutes received the award for the newly introduced startups.  Farmers Freshzone Pvt Ltd bagged the first position, BPM Power Pvt Ltd came second and Tess Technology Pvt Ltd bagged the third position.

Kozhikode district administration won the award for the best governance district. Wayanad district bagged the second place. The state's Women and Child Development Department bagged the first position by making the best use of social media for administration. Kerala Police bagged the second position and Malabar Cancer Centre bagged the third position. Kozhikode district administration bagged the first place in the e-medicine category and the second place was bagged by the state homeopathy department.

Akshaya Centre at Pushpa Junction in Kozhikode district, headed by C Saritha, has been selected as the best Akshaya Centre in the state. Akshaya Centre at Kurishumuttam in  Kottayam district led by Shreya Sreekumar bagged the second position and Akshaya Kendra at Alin chuvadu Ernakulam  led by Sini George bagged the third position.
