Applications have been invited for the State Farmer Award 2024. Applications/nominations are open for 46 categories, including six newly introduced awards. The new awards include: award for differently-abled farmer (Rs. 50,000, plaque, certificate), best startup in the agricultural sector (Plaque, certificate), award for the Krishi Bhavan for excellent implementation of special Agriculture Department schemes during the respective years (Rs. 1 lakh, plaque, certificate), and awards for Joint Director of Agriculture, Deputy Director of Agriculture, and Engineer-Agriculture (Plaque, certificate) for outstanding departmental performance.

Farmers can submit their applications to the respective Krishi Bhavans for the awards offered by the Department of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare. Applications should include the completed form, documents proving ownership of agricultural land, and details of the farming activities undertaken. The last date for submission is July 23.
