BPL consumers using less than 15,000 liters per month can apply for free drinking water until January 31 at the Water Authority section offices or online . Existing beneficiaries need not reapply. Both current beneficiaries and new applicants facing issues such as non-functional water meters and outstanding drinking water charge arrears will receive the benefit only upon replacing the meter and settling the arrears before January 31
