The trawling ban will come into force from June 9 to July 31. Mechanized boats are prohibited from going out to sea or engaging in fishing during this period. Legal action will be taken against anyone violating the ban. The ban does not apply to boats involved in traditional fishing. One carrier boat is permitted with inboard boats during the trawling ban period. To ensure effective monitoring, 24-hour fisheries control rooms have been established in coastal districts.
