Domestic consumers will now have to apply on white paper for free electricity for life-saving devices such as airbeds, suction devices and oxygen concentrators. Along with the application, an affidavit in the prescribed format should be submitted to the Assistant Engineer of the respective section office. Along with the application, a certificate certified by a government doctor that the device used by the patient (such as an electrically operated airbed, suction device, oxygen concentrator, etc.) is essential for sustaining the life of the patient should also be submitted along with the application. The exemption will be allowed for a period of 6 months. Thereafter, the exemption will be allowed again on the certificate of the government doctor that the life-saving system is still required.
