Help desks started functioning at Collectorate and Taluk offices to assist the public in linking Aadhaar number with Voter ID cards. The aim of this is to ensure the identity of the voter, avoid duplication and clean up the voter list. Existing voters require Form 6B to link adhaar and new voters need Form 6 for this.  Those who can't provide Aadhaar number due to sufficient reasons will not be excluded from the electoral roll.

Adhaar information is stored at adhaar vault as per the security norms of UIDAI. Forms 6B received offline will be secured under a double lock system by the respective Electoral Registration Officers. Section 37 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016 will ensure the security of Aadhaar information. Aadhaar can be linked with the Election ID card through the website www.nvsp.in or through the Voter Helpline app. Adhaar linking is possible by submitting Form 6B through this.
