Farmers or farmer groups engaged in organic farming can apply for organic certification. To qualify for PGS certification, crops must be grown without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, hormones, genetically modified seeds, chemical-based fertilizers, artificial preservatives, or chemically treated seeds.A team of farmers and officials will inspect and evaluate the farm before granting certification.
