The 26th International Film Festival (IFFK) of  Kerala will be held from March 18 to 25, 2022 in Thiruvananthapuram. Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the fair at Nishagandhi Auditorium. The eight-day festival will feature over 180 films in 14 theaters across various parts of the city. The fair will showcase several critically acclaimed international and regional movies in several categories that include International Competition, Malayalam Cinema Today, Indian Cinema Now, World Cinema, Retrospectives of major filmmakers, Country Focus, and much more. Films from Asian, African, and Latin American countries will be featured in the World Cinema category. One of the highlights of the 26th fair is the Films from Conflict‌ package, which captures life in conflict-ridden countries. Films from Afghanistan, Burma and Kurdistan are included.
