The Minority Welfare Department invites applications for fee reimbursement scholarships for students from minority religious communities enrolled in one or two-year courses at government-approved private ITIs. Eligible candidates include students from Muslim, Christian (all denominations), Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi, and Jain communities who are permanent residents of Kerala. The scholarship provides ₹10,000 per year for the duration of the course. Second-year students can also apply.
Priority will be given to candidates from the BPL category. If BPL applicants are unavailable, APL candidates with an annual family income of up to ₹8 lakhs from minority communities will be considered. Additionally, 10% of the scholarships are reserved for girls; if sufficient eligible girls are not available, boys may be considered.Selections will be based on family income and academic performance, proportional to the population of each minority group. Applicants must hold a bank account in their name with a nationalized or scheduled bank. Applications can be submitted online at www.minoritywelfare.kerala.gov.in until December 16, 2024.
