www.cmo.kerala.gov.in is a Government of Kerala webportal facilitating the citizens to register and review the status of petitions registered, which needs the special attention of the government.

 

If you have any grievance related to any government institution/ organization in the State, you may lodge your grievance here which will be forwarded to the department concerned for immediate scrutiny. Redress of citizens' grievances, being one of the most productive indicators of the good governance in a State, the government formulates public grievance redressal mechanisms for effective and timely redressal/ settlement of citizens' grievances.  The government has been making endeavours to bring excellence in public service delivery in a meaningful way by effectively coordinating with different departments or strata of the government.

 

Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund

 

www.cmdrf.kerala.gov.in is an online facility to apply for financial assistance from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund where citizens can register on-line for availing distress relief fund. They can also check the status of their grievances.

 

In addition to online registration of availing financial assistance from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund, requests can be filed at Local Self Government institutions like Village, Taluk and Panchayat offices associated with the applicant.

 

Applications for sanction of financial assistance from Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund are processed and examined by the CMDRF Cell of Chief Minister's Office. For further scrutiny, the application may be sent to appropriate government offices for enquiry.

 

Fund allotment upto Rs. 10,000 shall be sanctioned by the District Collector concerned; fund above Rs. 10,000 upto Rs. 3 lakhs shall be sanctioned by the Chief Minister and those above Rs. 3 lakhs shall be sanctioned only with the prior approval of Cabinet.

 

To avail Chief Minister's Relief Fund:-

*  Medical Certificate taken within a period of six months

*  In the case of death, copies of Death certificate, FIR, Post Mortem certificates

*  Application should be submitted to Village Office/ Taluk Office/ Collectorate

Contribution to Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund

The Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund provides financial assistance to people affected by major natural calamities like flood, drought, fire etc.  It also provides financial assistance to the individuals for treatment of major diseases like Cancer, Cardiac surgery, Kidney transplantation, Brain Tumor, Liver and Multi Organ failure etc.
 
The very aim of the fund is to provide immediate relief to the people in distress and the resource for the same is gathered by voluntary donations from the public.
 
Donations made to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund is eligible for 100% exemption from income-tax under section 80G(2) (iii hf) of the Income-Tax Act, 1961.

 

How to contribute:-

The contributor can send his contribution to the fund in the form of cheque/demand draft in the name of Principal Secretary (Finance). Funds will be received at all Collectorate and Taluk Offices.
