Sri. P. J. Kurien of the Congress, Sri. Joy Abraham of Kerala Congress (M) and Sri. C. P. Narayanan of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) were elected to the Rajya Sabha from Kerala on 25 June 2012.  Prof. Kurien returns to the Rajya Sabha for a third term. His third term in the Upper House of Parliament would run for six years. Sri.  Joy Abraham and Sri. C.P. Narayanan replace sitting members Sri. K. E. Ismail and Sri. P. R. Rajan.
