Born on 3 October 1980 at Valat, Mananthavady, Wayanad.
Daughter of Sri. P.. Kunhaman and Smt. Ammini Kunhaman of “Palot” family.

Started as a worker of Kerala Students’ Union (KSU)  and later became General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress of Wayanad Parliament Constituency, General Secretary of Mananthavady Block Congress Committee, and State Delegate to Mahila Congress.

Elected as Member of Thavinjal Grama Panchayat twice in 2005 and 2011.

Elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly for the first time in 2011 from the Mananthavady LA Constituency.

She is the first person to become a minister from the tribal community in Kerala.

Sport and Recreation:

Born in the Kurichia Community, who are known tribal warriors and ace archers, it is no wonder she takes to archery as her favourite sport and recreation.  She is a silver medalist in archery at state level.  She listens to popular music and reads a lot.
