Hi-Tech Crime Enquiry Cell (HTCEC), as a part of Kerala Police, is formed as an official set up for handling Cyber Crimes and other techno based crimes in Kerala. The Cell is equipped with the high-tech hardware and software to handle the most commonly reported technology induced crimes in the State like hacking, sending of pornographic mails, distorting social network sites, sending obscene SMS/ E-mails, cyber cheating, cyber stalking etc. The Cell is authorized to give special training for Police Personnel of the district for handling Cyber Crimes and Digital Evidence.
